The Only Wine Country Guide You Need this July 4th!

June 16, 2026

Fourth of July weekend in Temecula Wine Country is three full days of live music, al fresco dining, BBQs in the vines, and glasses worth raising. Whether you’re mapping out the whole weekend or just looking for the perfect Saturday afternoon, we’ve got you covered. Here’s everything happening in wine country this holiday, July 3rd through 5th.

Friday, July 3rd: Start the Weekend Early

The holiday weekend kicks off Friday, and wine country is ready for it! Get the party started at Altisima Winery, where DJ Nexys takes over the Vinyl & Vines experience from 3–7pm, the perfect warm-up for your weekend. Over at Wiens Family Cellars, Nate Penland plays a live set from 2:30–5:30pm. Wilson Creek Winery closes out the evening with The Cheez Whiz Band from 5–8pm.

If country music is more your speed, Monte de Oro is hosting Red, White & Boots, a 4th of July pre-party from 5–8pm featuring live music from Brian Gaylord & The Country Star Band.

Want to end the night on a more mellow note? Oak Mountain Winery is screening a movie in The Cave starting at 7pm. Grab a bottle, find your seat, and let the weekend begin.

Saturday, July 4: America’s Big Day

The Fourth is when all of wine country will be out celebrating. Here’s how to spend the day:

Start the morning right at South Coast Winery Resort & Spa with Yoga & Mimosas at 9am, because nothing says holiday weekend like stretching before you sip.

Fazeli Cellars is going all out with a special celebration for America’s 250th birthday from noon–4pm. Thornton Winery has free live music with Denis Kavemeier running the same window, noon–4pm. Cougar Vineyard & Winery is firing up the grill for its annual 4th of July BBQ from 11am–6pm. Leoness Cellars has live music from Jack French from 2–5pm, last tasting seating at 2:30pm, so plan accordingly. Wiens Family Cellars has Sean McCole playing 1:30–5:30pm. Raúl Ramirez Bodegas y Viñedos brings Jaxx Sessions from 2–5pm. Somerset Winery has an Electronic Jazz Lounge 2–5pm and will stay open until 9pm. Gershon Bachus Vintners is hosting an afternoon potluck from 4–6pm, bring something to share and settle in. And Oak Mountain Winery & The Cave is open until 10pm with a full Fourth of July celebration if you want to keep the party going.

A few more reasons to raise a glass: Ponte Winery is offering $10 off four or more bottles, a great excuse to stock up. Bottaia Winery has 4th of July cocktails and BBQ baby back ribs on the menu, with the same plate available next door at Ponte Vineyard Inn.
